Black Muse Publishing honors Akhenaten, King of Ancient Kemet, for being the inspiration of the Armana Period in the New Kingdom. We use his image as our company logo to celebrate his badassness during his 17-year reign (1353-1336 BCE). Akhenaten led a cultural, religious, and artistic revolution that transformed the New Kingdom and tossed out thousands of years of tradition. We seek artists like Akhenaten.
